Consortium Novum – Music for a Summer Evening

Heralded for its ‘splendid’ sound (Oxford Culture Review), Consortium Novum is an emerging chamber orchestra dedicated to inventive programming and artistic collaboration. Already in this preview season, Consortium Novum has made its opera debut in Liz Jones’ staging of Così fan tutte, and collaborated with musicologist Leah Broad to prepare the world radio premiere of Ture Rangstöm’s 1926 Till Damaskus. This May marks its concert debut with ‘Music for a Summer Evening’—a programme of Wagner, Grieg, Delius and Elgar. Come join Consortium Novum as it brings together the University’s finest student players and young professionals in this lively and diverse repertoire.
