About the society
Balliol Music Society was founded in 1885, at which time it established a tradition of excellent concerts which continues to this day. Performers in previous years have included the Peter Pears and Benjamin Britten, the Vienna Piano Trio, Emma Kirkby, the London Mozart Trio, Freddy Kempf and Andras Schiff. The society have now organised over 1830 concerts. Concerts are on Sunday nights at 8.30pm in Balliol Hall, and are free and open to everyone.
